things i intend to do with my watson part 01: rescue bear
Posted by christolles | Filed under Intend To Do..., USA
Officials say a 375-pound male black bear was seen roaming a residential neighborhood, evidently in search of food, near Alligator Point, some 40 miles south of Tallahassee.
The bear was hit with a tranquilizer dart, but he managed to bolt into the Gulf of Mexico before the drugs took effect.
At that point, FWC biologist Adam Warwick jumped in to keep the bear, who was some 25 yards offshore, from drowning.

Also, don’t forget you can subscribe to the blog by way of RSS or email (or both?!) - just click on the “Subscribe” link on the far right of the header. Don’t worry, it’s very unlikely that I sell your email address. If you need a little help with RSS (trust me, it’s worth it), you can go here. If you’re taking the plunge, NetNewsWire is the best (free!) RSS aggregator on the Mac. If you’re using a PC, get a Mac, and then use NNW.

BTW, my mom was looking at the Watson website, and now she’s pressuring me to start thinking of a good proposal to apply for during my senior year. Not that I need much pressure. I will do it! Eventually!
love you guys! -

July 6th, 2008 at 7:58 pmhey chris,
I saw this website about a guy who is just about to leave for his Fulbright study on Refuges, forced migration, and has pervious experience visiting refugee camps. His areas of interest are a bit different than yours, but I could not help thinking about your Watson adventure.
Glad I found your site and I’ll be sure to visit it often to see what you do for the next year. I am so excited for both of you!
Here’s the guy’s website, complete with a blog: http://mitchell.sipus.googlepages.com/
